Did Anyone Win the $113 Million Jackpot?

The jackpot for the Mega Millions lottery for Friday, March 4 was $113 million and had a cash-value option of $77.2 million.

The numbers drawn were 11, 19, 28, 46 and 47 for the white balls, while the yellow Mega Ball was 5, and the Megaplier was 4, according to the Mega Millions website.

No one matched all five white balls and the Mega Ball to win the jackpot. There were also no winners of the $1 million, the second-biggest prize on offer.

This means that the jackpot continues to grow for Tuesday's drawing where the top prize now stands at $126 million with a cash value of $86.1 million.

There were 10 winners of the $10,000 prize with tickets matching four white balls and a Mega Ball. None of those tickets played the Megaplier for an extra dollar, so did not get to quadruple their winnings.

There were 376 winners of the $500 prize, with 93 of them playing the Megaplier to get $2,000.

Among the smaller prizes, 1,034 players won $200, 218 of whom played the Megaplier. Overall, there were more than 535,000 tickets that won at least $2.

The last jackpot winner was in January when a ticket holder in California netted the top prize of $426 million, which had a cash option of $292.9 million.

That prize was won by a player who bought a ticket in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles County after the jackpot had been rolling since October 22, 2021.

January is a popular month for the jackpot with the top prize going in the first month of the year in 2021 ($1.05 billion), in 2019 ($437 million) and in 2018 ($451 million).

How To Play Mega Millions

One of the country's most popular lotteries, the Mega Millions drawings are held every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET.

Players pick five white balls between 1 and 70 while a yellow Mega Ball is taken from a set numbered from 1 to 25.

Each ticket costs $2 per play and for an extra dollar in most states, players can take the Megaplier option which can increase non-jackpot prizes by up to five times.

Each time the jackpot is not won, the money is added to the top prize for the following draw. When a ticket does scoop the jackpot, the top prize is reset to an average of $20 million.

Tickets can be bought in 45 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. However, they can not be bought in Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Nevada, and Utah.
